 Applied Digital Learning Journey Synthesis

  PART A

Being a teacher has been a life-changing experience that has given my life meaning and purpose.

My name is Yunuen Malagon , and as an educator, I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to teach and event day. My passion for teaching motivated me to pursue a Master's degree in Digital Learning, which advanced my professional growth and significantly improved my academic results and innovation in the classroom.

My Master's program opened up many possibilities by demonstrating how technology can be a powerful tool to enhance education and create meaningful learning experiences. Access to various platforms and tools enabled me to develop and implement an  Innovation  Plan to foster phonetic language skills in preschool children. These resources have been essential to my approach from the beginning, allowing me to transform my teaching into an interactive, dynamic, and authentic learning experience for my students.

The station rotation process I developed combines hands-on activities with digital tools, enabling children to learn independently and engagingly. Inspired by the COVA Framework, I designed activities encouraging children's exploration, creativity, and sense of belonging. This approach enhances their language skills and confidence, preparing them for success.

Links have played a crucial role in connecting my learning with learning with actual teaching practices in the classroom. These resources enabled me to explore recent research, collaborate with other professionals, and access educational platforms, which enriched my Innovation Plan. As a result, I created authentic learning environments where my students felt motivated to explore and construct their knowledge.

As a teacher, it is essential to transform the education landscape by building upon a foundation of technology and values. Combined with compassion and a values-based approach, practical tools can profoundly impact students' lives and foster vital learning communities.

If you'd like to learn about my work and educational philosophy, please visit my  "About Me" section. There, I share details of my background, experience, and the results of my Innovative Plan. We can continue creating a more humane, authentic, and transformative educational experience.

I want to express my gratitude for the support from my community and mentors; without them, my journey would have been entirely different. Initially, managing multiple programs and taking on additional responsibilities felt overwhelming. However, over the past few months, I have developed the skills to manage my time effectively and prioritize areas where I can make a significant impact. This experience has clarified my professional path and strengthened my resilience as I work to transform educational paradigms in schools.

My journey began with a disruptive innovation project to improve phonological development in preschoolers through a station rotation model. I recognized the importance of combining technology with hands-on experiences to make learning the alphabet engaging and meaningful. By carefully planning and gaining valuable experience, such as writing a persuasive proposal letter, creating a short explanatory video, integrating digital tools into classroom activities, and conducting extensive research into educational literature, I laid a solid foundation for this project.

Implementing a station rotation system for phonics language development in preschool allowed me to observe a significant improvement in my student's engagement, motivation, and understanding. This approach enhances their phonics skills and promotes autonomy, creativity, and confidence.

As a result, my contribution to this methodology could revolutionize preschool alphabet learning and positively impact education at this stage. However, during this innovative process, I also encountered several technical challenges.

Setting up and designing an e-portfolio exposed me to unfamiliar tools, initially intimidating me. However, I decided to take on the challenge directly. I took the initiative to learn how to use the platform by reading about it, consulting online tutorials, and seeking help from my peers. Ultimately, I gained the necessary skills and improved my digital literacy, an essential competency in today's complex educational landscape. Additionally, working with educational technology helped me realize a plan, and the Learning Manifesto reinforced my beliefs and enabled me to transform my weaknesses into strengths.

Concepts of Educational Tech made me realize  I was not alone on this journey: I had a team and resources to support me. My learning experience and the positive impact on my students demonstrate that integrating technology and methodology in the classroom enhances academic performance and transforms children's learning.

Improved learning outcomes and positive student experiences suggest that creating a more dynamic and effective educational system is possible, preparing children for a limitless future. This impact is demonstrated in the development of phonics language in preschool through the station rotation technique. In addition to significantly altering how children acquire phonics skills, this approach highlights how innovative models can restructure the educational landscape.

Leading Organizational Change was a central theme of my education, and this experience was directly reflected in my implementation of the innovation plan. Whether through Simon Sineks Golden Circle theory or identifying my Why? I set clear educational goals based on what it means to me to be a leader and educator.

The structure provided by the four disciplines of execution dramatically simplifies the implementation of my final plan. During this time, the combination of classroom instruction and hands-on assignments in self-differentiation and leadership enabled me to facilitate meaningful conversations and address my emotions as I worked to ensure the success of my initiative with both my students and colleagues.

The Creating a Significant Learning Environment technique has had a considerable impact. It prepares children to learn more effectively and fosters a more flexible educational system where students can challenge themselves and become empowered.

With a clear vision and specific goals, the educational system can be reimagined to offer students unlimited options. As a preschool teacher, I implemented this concept through a station rotation system focused on phonics language development.

This approach created a meaningful learning environment that empowered children and paved the way for a future filled with possibilities.

To achieve this, I carefully aligned learning outcomes with assessments and activities, ensuring that each inquiry component promoted understanding. This method enhanced phonics skills and fostered autonomy and creativity in the student. Promoting a growth mindset was also essential for setting student learning in motion.

The activities fostered exploration and a sense of belonging, helping to build confidence and curiosity through the strategies used in the classroom. In my commitment to professionalism, I made learning the cornerstone of my practice. This dedication improved my teaching skills and advanced my career by allowing me to embrace principles and practical tasks that transformed my approach to teaching.

I demonstrated how Developing Effective Professional Learning and my teaching practice are intertwined, showing that teacher development is essential for achieving positive change in the classroom. The station rotation system I implemented in my practice has yielded significant results through intentional design and a focus on continuous growth. We are developing a system that creates valuable opportunities and establishes a clear vision with defined goals.  This system promotes children's development and empowers them to engage actively with life. In my experience, implementing a phonics-based language approach in preschool using station rotation has significantly increased both the quantity of learning and the variety of language skills applied.

I can use the action research method to Assess Digital Learning and enhance my practices. Planning, acting, observing, and reflecting have been crucial in developing my innovative approach and fine-tuning its components to maximize its impact on alphabet learning. This method has improved my skills and made the station more relevant and effective.

The  Resources Digital Environments have equipped me with the skills to write and publish impactful articles. I have had the chance to share my experiences and theories with a broad audience, contributing to spreading knowledge. Additionally, this process has proven incredibly beneficial for reflecting on my practice. It has become more accessible and more rewarding to contribute to the professional development of my community and assist those who are also looking to change their approach in the classroom.

My experiences and methods have been crucial in developing phonics skills in preschool children. Through internal reflection on my teaching practices and creating a clear plan, I established a system that facilitates learning and empowers children with confidence and vital life skills. The Station Rotation System has enhanced this approach, a dynamic method that combines hands-on activities with technological tools to promote the acquisition of phonics skills.

Instructional Design in Online Learning has also been crucial in this process: focusing on online learning has allowed me to develop practical courses that must respect the latest trends in e-learning. After a series of modules focused on research methods, learning design principles, and best practices, I acquired the tools to create engaging learning experiences for students and my peers. That has allowed me to enrich my innovation proposition, ensuring that each activity and digital resource is carefully designed to impact children's learning significantly.

Combining a solid instructional design framework with thoughtful reflection on my teaching experiences has made the station rotation system effective, adaptable, and meaningful for students. This approach has led to significant advancements in teaching phonetic language in preschool, preparing children to tackle future challenges successfully.

The Synthesis Digital Learning Leader course has enabled me to transform my theoretical framework into practical applications. Through this program, I gained valuable tools to foster organizational change and create a more favorable environment for educational opportunities. I can confidently say that this master's degree has equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to drive innovation.

My implementation of the station rotation system has demonstrated a framework that fosters organic growth and leads to tangible results. Based on my experiences, this practical approach can drive significant organizational change. With this understanding, I strive to continue inspiring change that benefits students, teachers, and the community.

Implementing the Station Rotation System to develop phonics in preschool has transformed my teaching practice through integrative pedagogical strategies, advanced instructional design, and intentional reflection. This approach has significantly enhanced students' language skills and fostered autonomy, creativity, and self-confidence, laying a solid foundation for future success.
