Contribution to your Learning
and your Learning Community
(5304)
As a Cleveland ISD preschool teacher, I am incredibly excited about how much I have learned from this subject and skill development opportunity, transforming my teaching skills and strengthening my community. The work carried out for this course has been instrumental in complementing and implementing my Innovation Proposal Plan for Phonic Development in Preschool.
My Innovation Plan Proposal enabled me to create a phonics-focused curriculum using a station rotation system. This innovation allowed me to involve children in enjoyable guided activities and encouraged their full participation. Playfully implementing phonetics proved to be an effective strategy in improving my student's language skills, which was beneficial in preparing for the work completed in course 5304.
Importance of the Work Performed
What's My Why?
In this work, I am committed to a unique learning experience where each child reaches their full potential and individuality is celebrated. My approaches are flexible and adaptable and create an atmosphere of positivity that complements a child's social and exciting skills by encouraging autonomy and critical thinking. I set clear expectations and build strength with students. My impact on students focuses on their academic performance and general well-being. Kotter (2013) talks about believing first and creating authentic and empathetic change, adapting to the changing needs of students. My incentive is to improve Cleveland ISD students' phonics and, for each cycle, involve parents and colleagues and talk openly about the goals. Simon Sinek's (2019) example of the power of why has been invaluable in inspiring my innovation proposal and motivating all stakeholders, demonstrating the urgency of doing so and achieving small-scale educational change.
Influence Change
In my role, I explore and apply the principles of self-differentiated leadership. This allows us to act authentically and choose suitable activities to positively impact my young preschool students. Through the insights gained from this work, I have effectively led my team to a positive and lasting transformation of our educational community. As a leader, I prioritize integrity and values, supporting my colleagues and students to help them grow.
The 4DX disciplines of execution in my organization
This project was crucial in helping me learn how to implement the 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX) in my innovation proposal. By focusing on key objectives, acting on critical performance measures, maintaining a compelling scoreboard, and establishing a cadence of accountability, I could uphold the quality and effectiveness of my plan. This structured strategy has been essential in ensuring that specific goals are consistently and predictably achieved, monitoring the patient's oral hygiene, tracking regular progress, and promptly making necessary adjustments.

Self-Differentiated Leadership and Crucial Conversations Part
Using the Station Rotation System in Cleveland ISD, I have used a combination of technology and Crucial Conversations in my innovation proposal to enhance phonics language development in preschool. The "Self-Differentiated Leadership and Crucial Conversations" proposal includes strategies that facilitate good communication and collaboration, ensuring the adoption of this proposal and its long-term sustainability. These strategies also improve students’ language skills and social-emotional capacity and allow for addressing resistance and managing change effectively, creating a more dynamic and flexible learning environment. This approach is meaningful as it impacts the education experience by transforming and engaging my team and the community. As a Self-Differentiated Leader, I have demonstrated authenticity, flexibility, and a solid commitment to our shared values. The Crucial Conversations methodology also ensures that all parties feel heard and understood. I genuinely believe that this proposal will not only benefit our students but also the entire school.

Self-appraisal
It is difficult for me to evaluate myself. However, I am proud of my academic achievements, and a grade of 90 seems fair. I have turned in all assignments, actively participated in group conversations, and worked effectively with my colleagues Siary Rodriguez and Nelida Rodriguez group. Furthermore, my inclusion has been active and permanent, contributing to shared knowledge and collaborative projects. Each task has been an extension and implementation of my Innovation Plan Proposal. That is why all children have the opportunity to learn phonics in the best way possible. However, in my case, the new knowledge strengthens my classroom teaching and my leadership and influence in the entire school community.
This course has been a transformative experience that has helped me develop and expand my skills and knowledge to become a better leader in terms of empathy and effectiveness in managing an educational environment. I am eager to implement all completed course assignments and continue to grow as an outstanding leader, setting an example for my students and colleagues. A grade of 90 reflects dedication and commitment to continuous improvement and professional development for the benefit of the school community.
