Digital portfolios for teachers play a crucial role in modern education. Authoring tools enable professionals to showcase and document their professionalism and teaching philosophy, shaping how they teach students.

Although at first appearance disjointed, Harapnuik's work (2021) bridges a vein of criticism with another of his works on digital portfolios in the way in which they combine with COVA (Choose, Own, Voice, Opinion) teaching, doing learning, and pedagogy of the digital domain. From this perspective, COVA establishes both a natural and symbolic home or shelter for the thought models in these portfolios.

Like the Life History Arroba Trajectories (CVSO, VSO) and the Creation of Meaningful Learning Environments (CSEA), they are two beneficial models. Both models emphasize the student's active learning, propelling her own life as a person with her destiny in her hands.

Furthermore, the CSLE model enhances meaningful connections and provides academic and social support to its students, creating an environment of trust in which they can freely express all their thoughts and concerns. Translating all students in life to better results: This is the fundamental idea that both COVA and CSLE aim to achieve through various methods, including cooperative work and mentoring.

These two models aim at the student body's academic success and each stage of their training, promoting student autonomy, providing supportive environments, and facilitating free expression.
