Innovation Project Update
Hello, everyone. I am teacher Yunuen Malagon. I am excited to share the development of a meaningful project with my students. This innovative project focuses on phonics language development for my preschoolers. It was designed with the littlest ones in my classroom in mind. The project is in Texas, a community with rich cultural and linguistic diversity.
Most of my students come from low-income homes and often face additional language challenges. I aim to provide an enjoyable learning environment and motivate them to develop and strengthen their phonics skills. This project is exceptional because it is based on an innovative teaching method of blended learning and station rotation.
This structure allows me to organize teaching to meet my needs. With a station model, the child works independently on various activities designed to foster the child's phonics skills. I invite everyone to explore this journey with me through my station rotation model, where each of my preschoolers aims to build a strong phonics foundation helpful for these school years and beyond. It's fantastic to see the progress, and I can't wait to share the success we're finally seeing.
Conclusion
I am incredibly excited and grateful for what we have accomplished in my preschool classroom with our innovative phonics development project. Using a rotation station model and personalized learning approach, each child can progress at their own pace and engage in activities that help them develop essential skills for their academic future.
Not only have I seen improvement in their phonics learning, but I have also noticed significant benefits in their social-emotional development. Each child approaches their work with confidence, autonomy, and motivation, which assures me that they are laying a solid foundation for their literacy and love of learning.
This experience has also allowed me to grow as an educator. I have learned that personalization is crucial, that education through technology is attainable, and that a growth mindset applies to both students and myself. Every breakthrough, challenge, and victory brings us peace and encourages me to keep moving forward.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported and believed in this project. I am excited to improve our strategies and discover new ways to enhance the lives of my students. Even if you cannot visit the classroom. I
I will share highlights of the project on social media, so feel free to follow along and cheer for all my students. Thank you for being part of this journey toward success.
