When designing learning environments for preschool children and focusing on phonic language development, it is essential to integrate learning objectives, activities, and assessments. I have set a Big, Audacious, Challenging Goal (BHAG) to create a novel and adapted preschool curriculum. After studying Fink's (2003) planning guidelines in detail, I have developed a comprehensive program that meets the needs of young children. My program follows a design approach, incorporating all aspects of the Innovation plan proposal for preschool children; this offers a guide to teach practical learning activities that promote the development of phonetic language in a meaningful way and consistent with the educational model of Fink. Each element of the program aims to achieve this goal.
General objective of the BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) course:
Enhancing preschool children's phonic language development means creating a rich learning environment that fosters authentic experiences over an extended period. The ultimate goal is to revolutionize preschool education by introducing innovative methods that comprehensively develop children's phonetic language skills.
Creating dynamic preschool classrooms is the key to helping children learn and develop appropriate phonics skills. This approach combines traditional and technological resources, integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications, and uses interactive multimedia resources. Through collaboration and curiosity, we aim to instill a lifelong love of learning and creativity in every child.
My mission is to equip every child with a solid foundation in phonics language development skills, helping them meet challenges and confidently excel in their academic journey. To help preschoolers master phonics language skills, I have created a meticulously crafted three-column chart. Cleveland Independent School District primarily focuses on developing phonics language skills among preschool children. This approach combines theoretical and practical elements to promote innovation and collaboration between teachers and students, revolutionizing preschool education. As the students come from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, CISD teachers need to deeply understand phonics language development, employ creative teaching methods, and adapt instruction to meet each student's specific needs. This ensures that all students make meaningful progress and actively participate in learning.
